General Shipping Policy

At OTR Bison, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality bison meat products. To ensure freshness and quality, we ship all orders once a week on either Monday or Tuesday. This schedule allows us to process, pack, and ship your orders with the utmost care and attention.

Shipping Days

  1. Shipping Days: All orders will be shipped on either Monday or Tuesday each week.
  2. Order Cut-off Time: Orders must be placed by 7:00 PM on the preceding Sunday to be included in the weekly shipment.
  3. Orders placed after the cut-off time will be shipped the following week.
  4. Local Pick-up: Orders will be available for pick-up on Fridays between 10:00 am. - 3:00 pm.

Shipping Methods and Delivery Times

  1. Shipping Carrier: We use UPS for all shipments.
  2. Delivery Times: Depending on your location, delivery times may vary. Generally, orders will be delivered within 1-2 business days from the shipping date.

Packaging and Handling

  1. All bison meat products are carefully packaged to maintain optimal temperature and freshness during transit.
  2. We use insulated packaging and ice packs to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition.

Shipping Restrictions

  1. P.O. Boxes: We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. Please provide a physical address for delivery. International Shipping: Currently, we only ship within the 48 contiguous States in the United States. International shipping is not available.

Shipping Delays

While we strive to ship all orders on time, there may be instances where shipping delays occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, holidays, or carrier delays. We will communicate any known delays to you as soon as possible.

Shipping Liability Disclaimer

Please note that while we strive to ensure your bison products arrive in optimal condition, we are not liable for the following:

   1. Incorrect Address: Shipments sent to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer are not our responsibility. Please ensure your shipping information is accurate.
   2. Package Theft: We are not liable for packages stolen after delivery. Consider choosing a secure delivery location or requiring a signature upon delivery.
   3. Improper Storage: We are not responsible for any issues arising from the products not being placed in a freezer immediately after delivery. Please ensure you are available to receive and properly store your shipment upon arrival.

You acknowledge and agree to these terms by placing an order with us.

Upon Delivery

To ensure the quality and safety of your bison meat, please follow these steps once your package has been delivered:

   1. Check the Contents: Open the package and verify that all items listed on the packing slip are included and in good condition. Note that the dry ice or ice packs used for shipping may have evaporated or melted, but as long as the meat is still cold to the touch, it is safe.
   2. Frozen Condition: Ensure the meat is still frozen or cold to the touch upon delivery. If the product is warm please contact our customer service team for assistance.
   3. Immediate Storage: Place the bison meat in your freezer immediately upon receipt. This is crucial to maintaining the quality and safety of the product.
   4. Safe Handling: If dry ice is still present in the package, handle it with care. Use gloves or a towel to avoid direct contact with your skin, as dry ice can cause burns. Place the dry ice in a well-ventilated area away from children and pets, and allow it to evaporate completely.

By following these steps, you can help ensure that your bison meat remains fresh and safe for consumption. If you encounter any issues with your order, please contact our customer service team within 24 hours of delivery for assistance.
